What is your favorite part about Interior Design?
My favorite part about design is the many possibilities and unlimited styles we can choose from. Styles can be mixed, enhanced, and altered to fit each individuals' desires. The choices are endless.
What design style (contemporary, traditional, etc) appeals to your personally the most?
Personally, I like most all styles of design. I get excited for each different design I do, but some styles come easier than others. For instance, Rustic and Elegant designs come easier to me than Modern and Simplistic designs.
What room in the house is your favorite to design?
I don't have a favorite room to design, I like challenging myself to design every room of the house. The main rooms like the Living room, Dining room, Bedroom, and Kitchen are always the easiest to design, but rooms that not all houses have or that people use less, tend to be a bit more challenging.
If you could give one piece of advice to the average customer about designing their home, what would it be?
My advice is to do what makes you happy. You're the one that's going to be living in the space, so embrace the colors and styles that you like. If you need some help making your styles and colors work well together, always feel free to ask an Interior Designers. I say, as long as some aspect about each piece matches, you're good. If a lamp has a square base that matches the squares in the carpet, but the colors are different, that's fine. You don't have to be too matchy-matchy. Design is all about expressing yourself.
