The classic scalloped-shaped writing desk design with cabriole legs and carved accents is made fresh and new with a soft pink finish over Maple Veneers. Featuring three drawers, the left and right drawers have removable dividers, the center drawer has a drop-front for keyboard use and grommet for wire management and there is one writing slide and pencil tray for use in either drawer. The drawers are accented by pewter ring pull hardware. Hooker Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings, partners with Susan G. Komen® for a licensed accents collection. The partnership is a furniture industry first, initiated by Hooker Furnishings in an effort to assist in spreading awareness of the pervasive, non-discriminatory, and devastating effects of breast cancer worldwide. According to Komen, every 46 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer. That is more than 1,876 women and men every day. This collection is about celebration and remembrance. We look to honor the journeys of all those affected by breast cancer; celebrating the triumphs, revering the battles, and commemorating those that are no longer with us. Many of Hooker Furnishings’ employees, former employees, friends, and family members have had their lives forever changed by breast cancer, and it is a cause that is near and dear to our company. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.

These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
